Hi all,

Just experimenting here—I tried out a free AI tool to generate a quick code snippet. It wasn’t perfect (let’s just say the AI thinks variables can magically fix themselves), but it definitely gave me a head start and saved me some time staring at a blank editor.

What I noticed:

Fast drafts: Even if the snippet needed tweaking, having something on the screen beats starting from scratch.

Learning moments: Sometimes the AI explains its choices, which is handy if you’re brushing up on syntax or best practices.

Funny fails: At one point it “invented” a library that doesn’t exist… would have been cool, but sadly no download button.

I’m curious: has anyone else here tried using AI for brainstorming code ideas? Did it actually help you, or was it more of a comic relief? And what’s the strangest or funniest output you’ve seen so far?
