I've been looking at a lot of different ways to get residency in the United States and a lot of people are writing about the EB3 visa. My friend recently moved there and I want to join her. I'm wondering if it will be possible to get permanent residency in the US afterwards?

And in which state does your friend live and what visa did she receive? Does she have relatives living there? You are probably interested in obtaining citizenship, because you receive residency immediately when you get this green card. You can read the article about permanent residency through EB-3 on the website eb3.work. I learned from there that citizenship can be obtained after 5 years of continuous residence in the US as a permanent resident. My girlfriend applied for a change of status after this period. And I have just started receiving an EB3 visa, so I still have to wait quite a long time until that moment.

EB3 visa for permanent residency? Is it possible? From my experience researching immigration options, the EB3 is a solid path, especially if you have a skilled job offer. I looked into it myself before deciding to pursue a different route for family reasons. However, you must meet all requirements and find a U.S. employer willing to sponsor you, and I know a lot of companies do not want to do this.
