New to the UAE car market and looking at a 2017 Golf R, where do you even take these for a proper look before buying?

Moved out here from the UK about four months ago and I'm finally at the stage where I'm ready to buy something fun instead of just renting econoboxes, got my eye on a 2017 Golf R that's listed privately in Motor City and the seller seems genuine enough but I've heard enough campfire stories about DSG gearbox failures and coolant leaks on the EA888 to know better than to just hand over a bank draft based on a 15 minute spin around the block. Back home I had a mechanic I trusted implicitly who would always do a once over on anything I was buying but here I'm completely out of my depth and don't want to end up with a car that's been tuned to within an inch of its life and then flashed back to stock just to sell it. I did a bit of digging online and saw a few people mention that a proper Volkswagen Vehicle Inspection Dubai Trusted by the local community is worth its weight in gold because they'll actually plug in VCDS and check for hidden fault codes and launch control counters which a normal RTA test wouldn't even touch. Has anyone here used a specialist for a VW pre purchase check that they'd actually vouch for, or am I better off just taking it to the dealer in Deira and paying whatever extortionate fee they ask for some peace of mind? Just trying not to get my fingers burned on my first proper car purchase in the sandpit.
