Brian Urlacher combined rare athleticism with the instincts to read an offense before a play unfolded. Drafted ninth overall by Chicago in 2000, he quickly became the centerpiece of the Bears’ defense, earning Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and later winning the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2005. His range allowed him to cover ground in the passing game while remaining a force against the run.

The Brian Urlacher Jersey celebrates one of the defining figures in Bears history. Over 13 seasons in Chicago, Urlacher earned eight Pro Bowl selections and helped lead the team to Super Bowl XLI. His leadership, physical presence, and ability to make plays from sideline to sideline made him a symbol of Chicago’s defensive tradition.

Urlacher entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018, cementing his place among the franchise’s greats. For longtime supporters and newer fans alike, his jersey carries the legacy of a linebacker who helped shape an entire era of Bears football.
