Endgame And Progression Feel Worth It
The late-game stuff surprised me more than anything. The 32-player survival modes sound like pure chaos, and yeah, they are, but now they feel tuned around actual team play rather than random running in circles. You jump in, pick a lane, and you are instantly juggling spawns, objectives, and cooldowns. Unlocking exotic abilities like the Mega Punch through those Avalon-style challenges gives you a clear reason to keep grinding instead of just watching numbers go up. The best bit is the shared XP across modes. You can log on thinking, "I will just finish a couple of campaign missions tonight," and you are still progressing your multiplayer builds at the same time. It makes the whole game feel connected instead of split into three different grinds.
Multiplayer Meta With Breathing Room
Multiplayer is where Season 1 Reloaded really changes how lobbies feel. Pre-patch, the Akita shotgun basically bullied every other weapon off the map; if you were not running it, you were just feeding kills. After the range and ammo nerfs, you start seeing real variety again. I have been using the Maddox RFB a lot; it is not free kills, but if your aim is decent and you are landing headshots, it absolutely holds its own. SMGs are back in play for people who like constant movement, and snipers are not just meme picks anymore. Map rotation helps too. Fate gives you that weird, distorted reality vibe with angles you keep discovering even after a dozen matches, while Odysseus is pure sweat with tight corridors and no respawns, forcing slower, more careful pushes. Having Standoff and Meltdown back with destructible cover hits that classic COD nostalgia without feeling stuck in the past.
Zombies, Warzone, And Where The Game Goes Next
Zombies has become way easier to recommend to friends now. Bringing back Mule Kick changes how you plan runs, because having three guns to juggle makes every round a bit more tactical instead of just sticking to one crutch weapon. The directed modes help newer players a ton; you do not just drop someone into Astra Malorum and hope they do not quit after ten minutes of confusion. On the Warzone side, the movement tuning makes a big difference. Fights lean more on base movement and positioning rather than whoever abuses sprint mechanics hardest, so gunfights feel fairer, even when you lose.
