The Atlantics is een Australische surfband opgericht in 1961. Aanvankelijk bestond de bandbezetting uit drummer Peter Hood, bassist Bosco Bosanac, Theo Penglis op lead- en ritmegitaar, en gitarist Eddy Matzenik. Matzenik werd vervangen door Jim Skaithitis terwijl de band nog in de kinderschoenen zat, lang voordat de band albums opnam of uitbracht. [1] De band was beroemd als de meest succesvolle van Australië in het genre. Het meest bekend om hun klassieke hit "Bombora", zijn hun latere opnames zoals "Come On" voorbeelden van garage rock uit de jaren 60. Zij waren de eerste Australische rockband die hun eigen hits schreef. In 2000 kwam de groep weer bij elkaar met drie van de oorspronkelijke leden en blijft nieuw materiaal uitbrengen en optreden in concerten. In 2013 vierde de groep het 50-jarig jubileum van hun eerste album, Bombora, en de gelijknamige single die hun eerste in de hitlijsten haalde. Ter gelegenheid van deze gelegenheid werd een Europese tour georganiseerd.
