Does anyone actually check appliance warranties before buying or just hope for the best?
I was chatting with my cousin in Ajman who just had his six month old microwave die on him, and when he tried to get it fixed under warranty the shop kept giving him the runaround about contacting the brand directly, which got me thinking about how lazy I’ve been about reading the fine print on my own purchases. Last week I ordered a new oven from https://www.crateco.ae/ because the price was decent and delivery to Ajman was free, but honestly I didn’t even open the warranty card until after it arrived – turns out the installation has to be done by their approved tech or the coverage is void, and now I’m sitting here wondering if the guy who hooked it up was actually certified or just the delivery driver being helpful. Has anyone here ever successfully claimed a warranty on a large appliance in Ajman without fighting for months, or do most people just end up paying for repairs out of pocket because the hassle isn’t worth it? I’m trying to figure out if I should call customer service now to confirm my installation was logged properly, or if I’m just being paranoid and nobody really checks that stuff anyway. Would love to hear from someone who’s actually been through the process, good or bad, before my oven inevitably acts up right after the one year mark.
