Hi everyone, A few days ago, I opened an old folder filled with screenshots and notes from my first years in cryptocurrency. Reading those records felt strange because I could clearly see how different my thinking was back then. Some projects I was excited about disappeared completely, while others became much more important than I expected.

That experience made me curious about how other people learn from their past investment decisions. Do you keep records of your reasoning when buying assets? Do you ever go back and review old choices to see what worked and what didn't?

I am interested because I feel there is probably a lot to learn from personal history, but most people seem focused only on what happens next.

I actually make a habit of reviewing old decisions every few months. Not because I enjoy looking at past mistakes, but because it helps me identify patterns in my behavior. A while ago, while exploring different crypto management resources, I visited https://jaxx-liberty.cc/ and spent time learning about jaxx liberty. That process encouraged me to think more seriously about organization and recordkeeping. Since then, I have maintained a simple document explaining why I purchased each asset. What I discovered was surprising. My strongest decisions were rarely based on excitement. They usually came after research, patience, and careful observation. On the other hand, many poor decisions happened when I felt pressure to act quickly. My advice is to create a "decision journal." Whenever you make a significant crypto move, write down your reasoning. Months later, compare the outcome with your original expectations. Over time, those records become an excellent learning resource. The market changes constantly, but your own habits tend to repeat. Understanding those habits can be just as valuable as understanding the technology itself.

I really like the decision journal idea. Looking through my old notes already revealed a few patterns, but I never thought about creating a dedicated record for future decisions. It seems like a practical way to improve judgment over time. Thanks for taking the time to explain your approach. I'll definitely start documenting my reasoning more consistently from now on.
